As a British born global citizen, I have had the privilege of working with people from all over the world. I am honored to be able to use my own experiences and knowledge to help people like you to transform your mindset so that you can create a business and life you love.
But I didn't start out this way. My own journey had a rocky start.
I was born in the UK when apple was a fruit and you had to wait a week to get your holiday snaps. I was never one to stick to a conventional life. I found the boundaries set by social norms and expectations claustrophobic.
I wanted to do things differently.
At 18 I went to Uganda to live for a year volunteering at a rural school and orphanage. Despite the poverty and hardship, I was taken back by the contagious hopeful and happy attitude people had. I learnt that happiness isn't something that you get from achieving a goal or buying the things you think you need. Happiness is a mindset. I not only fell in love with the people but the freedom I felt to explore who I wanted to be.
After a Bachelors, an internship at the United Nations and a Masters degree I returned back to East Africa. I followed my calling to work with disadvantaged women in the hopes of making a meaningful impact on their lives. After meeting my husband and settling in Australia I went on a new adventure. The journey of motherhood and small business.
But I knew very little about either...raising children or running a business.
I felt like I was constantly bombarded with all the ways I needed to market my business...focus on Facebook, post 5 times a day on Instagram, do a podcast, a YouTube channel, evergreen, funnels, live-launch...don't do a live launch...and apparently I can work 4 hours a week, relax on a beach drinking cocktails whilst earning $200,000 a year....if I just invest in their program. And as I jumped between them wondering which is THE ONE that will make my business successful, I realised that what had been stopping me from fully implementing any of them, from really getting traction in my business.......... was me.
The truth is any of these strategies could work. But what was really stopping me from fully growing in my business was my mindset. It was the sick feeling in my stomach when I thought about doing reels...what will people think of me? It was the self-doubt that people would see value in what I was offering and so I would keep my prices ridiculously low...and still not make any sales. It was the little voice inside that said keep quiet, stay small it is much safer here. Away from judgement. From the possibility of failing. Perhaps you feel the same way too?
I fell into the belief that in order to have a successful business you had to be 'all in'. You had to make big sacrifices. This male dominated narrative echos through our culture, our podcasts, and our beliefs about who we need to be in order to be successful. But what if I can't go all in? What if there are things that I am not willing to sacrifice?
I believe our biggest challenges can become our greatest purpose.
I set out to uncover what was really holding me back from creating the business I loved. And it turns out the same things are holding you back to.
I no longer feel the need to keep myself small and hidden for fear of judgement or rejection. Are you and your business the world's best kept secret?
I dropped the need to be perfect. To show up perfectly to take the perfect steps in order to prove something to the world. My actions are perfectly imperfect which means I am no longer wasting my time on all the little stuff that isn't bringing in the money. How many posts, programs, websites, business strategies have you been holding back on putting out into the world because you are waiting for them to be perfect?
I uncovered the confidence to use my voice and to feel safe to take up space in the world of business. No more shrinking into the shoes of the little girl waiting for her turn to talk amongst the adults who know better.
I healed old wounds and beliefs that kept me from feeling safe to step out into the world. So that I was free to create what I wanted, free to show up as my authentic self, free to ask for my worth and to receive.
Most importantly I found my purpose - to empower and to give a voice to women. To level the playing field so that they can create the business and life they want. Not just for themselves but to tread the path for other women and for the future generations to come.
I believe there is more to life than laundry and taxes.
I have a hunch your here because you feel the same way.
I am here to support you on your journey to creating an incredible mindset that will not only transform the way you show up in your business but also in your life.
So, if you are ready to make the commitment to yourself, to healing old wounds and making space for more possibilities then this is the space for you.
